A truly extravagant alternative to traditional hotel accommodation, Sheremetev Palace is a beautiful XVIII century mansion, newly restored and redeveloped to accommodate Russia's first private palace for rent.
The palace is located in the centre of the city on the embankment of the Neva River, within a walking distance to the State Hermitage Museum. The windows of the mansion overlook the embankment, offering a view of the river, the Peter and Paul Fortress and the cruiser Aurora.
The mansion's fully restored historical interiors include the White Hall (with a ceiling height of 10 metres), several drawing-rooms (Gold, Silver, Gothic and more), a multi-level library, a dining room and bars, as well as a gym and a spa complex.
Panoramic lifts ascend from the atrium to the other floors of the complex. The top floor contains a winter garden with a portrait gallery of the Counts Sheremetev, ancestors of the last pre-revolutionary owner of the palace.
With seven guest suites and ample meeting and banqueting space it is as exclusive and private as one could only imagine.
